Terrace have been built over the area by Civilian Conservation Corps camp 16 N. The soil has a horizon of slight compaction which acts as a good water reservoir. It also has an open subsoil without the caliche development. The upper 20 inches of the profile are neutral in reaction. Slope is uniformly 5 percent. Original photo number 149.
